Paraphrased asylums.
Comm1. Mam Subido discussed the topic about paraphrasing. She took this example:
Sonnet CXVI – W. Shakespeare
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,

Through recitation, she made us paraphrase each line. I’ll just give to you the answers she gave:
Let us agree about it. True love is permanent and eternal. It can withstand challenges. It is a guide which inspires even if it’s not seen. Love does not fade in the passage of time. If love doesn’t exist, i haven’t written this poem.
Just like the past entry I have posted, the original words are squeezed into simpler and shorter ones. Oh my, will I ever manage to get a passing grade on her subject?
